வேட்டுவர் இனத்துக்கும்,பள்ளர் இனத்துக்கும் எந்த தொடர்பும் இல்லை என்பதை கல்வெட்டுகள் உறுதிபடுத்துகிறது .

வேட்டுவர் இனத்துக்கும் ,பள்ளர் இனத்துக்கும் எந்த தொடர்பும் இல்லை என்பதை கல்வெட்டுகள் உறுதிபடுத்துகிறது  there is no connection between "Vettuvar" (Vettuva gounder,pooluva gounder,punnam vettuva gounder) and "Pallar" (Devendra Kula Vellalar).

பள்ளர் இனத்தை பற்றிய கல்வெட்டுகள் :
 

In the Thiruvallur District, Kuvam thirupuranthaka Eswarar koil inscription (1296 A.D), pertaining to "Thiribuvana Vira Ganda Gopala Devar (Telugu Chola) says as follows :-

"வைத்தாந் பள்ளநும்"
"இவை பள்ளன் எழுத்து" (S.I.I. Vol-XXVI, No.354).

In the Trichirapalli District Tiruppalatturai inscription says as follows :-

"புலை அடியாரில் முன்னால் நங்கைபுரத்தில் பாட்டத்தில் நின்ற
புலை அடியாராய் உடையார் கம்பண உடையார் காரியப்பெர்
சந்த்ரசர் விற்க நான் கொண்டு உடையெனான சாதனப்படியால்
உள்ள பள்ளன் பிறவியும் இவன் பள்ளி அழகியாளும் இவன் மகன் நம்பாளும் இவன் தம்பி
வளத்தானும் இவன் தம்பி தாழியும்" (S.I.I. Vol-VIII, No.590).

In the Pudukkottai Thirumayam, Karaiyur Sundara Raja Perumal koil inscription pertaining to the king "Virupakshirayar" of 14-15th century A.D says as follows :-

"வலையர் ஆடிக்கு ஒரு கூடு முசலும் காத்திகைக்கு
ஒரு கூடு முசலும் இடையர் பால் நெய்யும் பறையர்
ஆடிக்கு இரண்டு கொழியும் காத்திகைக்கு இரண்டு
கொழியும் பள்ளர் ஆடிக்கு இரண்டு கொழியும்
காத்திகைக்கு இரண்டு கொழியும்" (I.P.S. Ins. No. 715)

In the Pudukkottai Thirumayam, Ilambalakudi Madavira Vinayagar koil inscription of 16th century says as follows :-

"இலம்பலக்குடியில் பள்ளற்கும் பறையற்கும்
விருது சண்டையாக காஞ்சிபுரத்துக்குப் போய்
கல்வெட்டுப்"

"இலம்பலக் குடியில் பறையற்கும்
பள்ளற்கும் சண்டை" (Avanam-15, July-2004, Page-31&32)

In the Pudukkottai Thirumayam, Karaiyur Thirumanganeeswarar koil inscription of 16th century says as follows :-

"காத்திகைக்கு இடையன் ப.ல் நெய்யும் ..
வலையன் முசலும் பள்ளன் கொழியும்
பரையன் கொழியும் ஆக இந்த சுவந்திரம்" (I.P.S. Ins. No.843)

In the Pudukkottai Thirumayam, Thekkattur Agatheeswarar koil inscription of 16th century says as follows :-

"தெற்காட்டூராக அமைந்த ஊரவரொம்
மேற்படியூற் பள்ளற்கும் பறையற்கும்
பள்ளற்கு தவிலும் முரெசும் செமக்கலமும்
நன்மை தின்மை பெருவினைக்குங்கொட்டி
பொக கடவராகவும் பறையர் அஞ்சு கா" (I.P.S. Ins. No. 956)

In the Pudukkottai Thirumayam, Mellathanayam Mariamman koil inscription of 16th century says as follows :-

"வீர சின்னு நாயக்கரவர்கள் பள்ளருக் குச்சிலா
சாதனங்கட்டளையிடப்படி பள்ளர் பறையர்
இருவகைப் பெருக்கும் வெள்ளானை
வாழை கரும்பு உண்டில்லை யென்று
விபகாரம் நடக்குமிடத்தில் பள்ளர் இந்த
விருது தங்களுக் யெல்லாமல் பறையருக்கு
இல்லை யென்று நெய்யிலெ க்கை பொடுமிடதில்
பள்ளருக்கு க்கைக்கு சுடாமல் வெற்றியான
படியினாலெ" (I.P.S. Ins. No. 929)

In the above said inscriptions, the "Pallar Community people" and "Paraiyar Community People" were placed together. In one of the inscription, the "Pallar Community People" referred as "Pulai Adiyars"

'பாண்டலை யிட்ட பலவல் புலையனை' (கலித்தொகை,மருத கலி)

  “துடி யெறியும் புலைய எறிகோல் கொள்ளும் இழிசின” (புறம் 287:1-2)

பாணர்(சங்க காலங்களில் மன்னனை புகழ்ந்து பாட்டு பாடி பரிசு பெரும் மக்கள் குழுக்கள் ) மற்றும் துடியர் சாதியை புலையர் என இங்கு கூறப்பட்டு உள்ளது. 

Hence there is no connection between "Vettuvar" (Vettuva gounder,pooluva gounder,punnam vettuva gounder) and "Pallar" (Devendra Kula Vellalar).
